About Redding Financial
Soon after John finished his PhD in economics, his friends, fellow parishioners at church, and relatives started coming to him with their questions about finances and investments. These acquaintances, intelligent and talented people, were focused on their careers and families, and it made sense for them to seek help as they sorted through financial difficulties, opportunities, and changes. Out of these experiences sprung Redding Financial.
John enjoys working with clients to answer questions and find appropriate solutions. He focuses especially on asset management, the process of selecting the investments that offer an appropriate profile of risk and reward in light of a client's risk tolerance, life situation, and goals.
John's background includes undergraduate majors in economics and Latin from the University of Nebraska and a PhD in economics from the University of Iowa. Before founding Redding Financial, he served on an investment committee responsible for a corporate portfolio of several hundred million dollars and in a fiduciary role on the investment committee for a 401(k) plan with approximately 700 members.
